AccountingFlow processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.

We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address, firm details), information about your firm''s clients and employees that you choose to capture, and documents you upload for processing and storage.

We also collect technical usage information such as log data, device type and browser information to operate and improve the service.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the platform.

Account information is used to authenticate you, manage your subscription and communicate important service notices.

Firm administrators control which users in their firm can access specific companies and data through role-based permissions.

We protect your information with encrypted data storage, encrypted connections (HTTPS), multi-factor authentication options, login monitoring and role-based access controls.

Access to production data is restricted and all significant security events are recorded in audit logs.

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate AccountingFlow, including cloud hosting providers and email delivery services.

These providers process personal information only as instructed by us and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Paystack. Your full card or banking details are provided directly to the payment processor and are never stored on our servers.

We receive only confirmation of payment and limited billing information needed to manage your subscription.

Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
